                               DULHE RAJA

Starring: Govinda, Raveena Tandon, Prem Chopra, Mohnish Behl,
                    Kader Khan, Johny Lever
          Director: Harmesh Malhotra
          Music: Anand Milind

This time, Govinda in the comedy plot is not directed
by his favourite David Dhawan but by Harmesh Malhotra. It is an
entirely Govinda film with his excellent flair for comedy. He
is just incomparable but his efforts are wasted in this poorly
          written film.

Raja (Govinda) is a dhaba owner and is a big threat to
five-star hotel owner KK Singhania (Kader Khan). Raja's dhaba
is just near the entrance of the hotel and all the customers
instead of going into the hotel go to his dhaba. And so the
film revolves around the tussle between Raja and Singhania.

Singhania's daughter Kiran (Raveena Tandon) loves Rahul
(Mohnish Behl). But Singhania rejects Rahul as he knows that
Rahul is not a good person. However Kiran does not listen to
her father and to make her father accept Rahul, she starts
flirting with Raja (her father's biggest enemy). This
strengthens the tussle between Raja and Singhania and both
can't bear the fact that they are going to be each other's
prospective in-laws. Now the whole situation shifts from dhaba
          to bride.

Then comes the climax where Rahul's villainy is exposed and
everything ends well. The climax is too melodramatic.

Basically the film has very poor scripting. Even though there
are a few very hilarious moments in the film, the film becomes
too draggy. Of the stars Govinda as usual is good. Hats off to
his perfect timing for comedy. He is ably supported by Kader
Khan and Johny Lever. Raveena Tandon looks the same in all her
films. She is just there to provide glamour. This film is
watchable if you are a die-hard fan of Govinda.

          Rating: Fair
